We are off; ready to see what God is sending our way and what new adventures we will have!!!
“wherever you are be all there”
This has been a great reminder for me at the start of this summer and now this mission trip. When there’s a lot of change and uncertainty, that’s when it’s the easiest to not be fully present. Whether that be relationships or serving in the DR. I have been very busy already this summer; now its time for me to be busy doing the Lords work. My heart is aching to see what the Lord has in store for me this week and I am leaning into all He has with a full present mind.
People continue to ask me why I go on mission trips, so I started to think about all I have seen and experienced in my few short weeks of mission to a variety of places. I thought how do I explain that, yes, every day my heart breaks, but that’s why I’m here. That some stories affect you more than others do. Some days are good days while others might be difficult. How do I go about explaining that while those times are difficult, it’s the best time of my life? How do I go about explaining to someone who has never experienced this type of difficult or heart ache? It’s extremely difficult, however, through constant prayer I will someday be able to explain fully why I go on mission trips and encourage others to experience what I have.

You don’t need to know why when God is calling you…just a thought.
